Dr Kwame Addae-Dapaah’s paper entitled “Value Property Premium: Is it Riskier?” co-authored with Asabere and Mervyn Yip Zhi Yuan has won an ARES prize for best paper in the Office Buildings/ Office Parks category.

Dr Muhammad Faishal’s paper entitled “Brand Personality of Shopping Districts- Exploring the Orchard Belt and Marina Centre Shopping Districts in Singapore” co-authored with Larissa Lim Pei Ching, has won an ARES prize for best paper in the retail category.

Assoc. Prof Joseph Ooi's and Prof Ong Seow Eng's paper entitled “An Analysis of the Financing Decisions of REITs: The Role of Market Timing and Target Leverage” co-authored with Li Lin, has won an ARES prize for best paper in the real estate finance category.

The papers were presented at the 24th Annual American Real Estate (ARES) Meeting in Florida, USA, 16-19 April 2008.
