Upcoming Events

“Housing Prices and Housing Affordability in Asia and Around the World” is the theme for the 2nd University of Southern California - Tsinghua University-NUS Tripartite Symposium to be held in Beijing, 13 - 14 March 2006.

Call for papers: HKU-NUS Symposium on Real Estate Research, July 27 – 28, 2006. Selected papers will be published in a special issue of the Journal of Real Estate Finance & Economics.

The second Executive Masterclass on International Real Estate, scheduled for March 2006, will focus on institutional investors & international real estate funds, financing international projects, and structuring real estate capital market products. This program also covers investment opportunities in Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East and Asian real estate markets.

 

 

 

A Breakfast Forum with Presidents / CEOs of global real estate companies will be organized in March 2006 in support of the Amos Koh Memorial Fund. Expert panelists will cover issues such as hotspots in international real estate markets, risk & return trade-off in international investments, financing international real estate, and institutional/market structures.

Awards

Four papers from the Department of Real Estate won manuscript prizes at the 2005 American Real Estate Society conference in the following categories - "International Real Estate Investment/Portfolio Management," “Real Estate Market Analysis," Real Estate Investment Trusts" and "Real Estate Valuation." See Research Highlight for synopses and full papers.

Congratulations to our alumnus Mr Zulkifli Baharudin for winning the Achiever of Year Award , organized by Berita Harian and HSBC in recognition of his role as Chairman of Mercy Relief.
