Virtual Conference: Notes to Participants
We are pleased to let you know that about 100
authors will participate in the virtual conference. The papers will be
grouped into 10 sessions. Each session will have a chairperson to facilitate
the discussions and a coordinator from NUS to manage the discussion forums.
We appreciate your interest and participation in this new endeavor for
sharing your research and getting connected with the Asian real estate
research community. We are glad to say that the virtual conference platform
(ICE, for Integrated Conference Environment) provided by NUS is capable
of helping us to achieve our goals. ICE is designed to enable the participants
to actively interact: to make their research understood and to seek understanding
of others’ research, to comment and to seek comments, to question
and to answer. In many ways, the information technology we have now relaxes
the constraints of space and time that limit the interactions in a physical
conference. Let’s take the advantage of the new technology to interact
more productively.
We would like to request that you provide us (email to: rstbox1@nus.edu.sg)
with the following documents by July 7:
1) The completed conference paper (preferably in Word or pdf format).
The
paper will be uploaded for online viewing and for downloading.
2) A PowerPoint presentation document to be incorporated in the
multimedia
presentation of ICE. Your presentation will help other
participants
to understand the gist of your paper quickly so as to make
the discussion
forums more productive. We would encourage you to
make hyperlinks
to websites in your presentation.
In addition, please be ready to support the session chairs when they
ask you to discuss papers. The session coordinators are there always
to help you make full use the virtual conference facilities.
We look forward to receiving the complete paper and your the presentation
document. We are committed to making this virtual conference as productive
and beneficial to you as possible.
